Cannock Highland Youth Camp

Camp 2005

Camp is over now.  Here are some observations about this camp:

I know that many who will read this have not attended camp at Cannock Chase this year, but I just wanted to mention a few things that I saw at camp this year.

  1. Being the first year at out own facilities, there were a few technical difficulties, but they were handled very professionally and Christlike. I did not hear any complaining!

  2. Many of the Junior campers that I worked with NEEDED a place like camp to go to. They needed to get away from their games, music, friends, and some, even their own parents, and just spend time in a place where God could talk with them without distractions.

  3. I noticed the "common" preaching and teaching of God's Word seemed to have very uncommon results. 5 junior children received Jesus Christ as their own Savior, and a difference was noticed immediately. Also near 35 children said they would follow God in any capacity He chooses, whether it would be in full time service or a faithful laymen.

  4. If more Pastors sent their youth to camp, maybe we could see what we have only read about, a country full of preachers, ignited with the Word of God, begging God for opportunities to serve Him.
